POWERLIFTING COMPETITION

Sign in: 5:30pm Lift off: 6:00pm

Bench, Squat, Deadlift

This event will be held in the weight room. There will be no weight classes. The winners will be decided based on their body weight compared to the percentage of weight they are lifting (Wilkes/Sin Clair). Each particpant will get to attempt a lift three times to reach their one rep max. Judges willbe at each station to moitor if participants complete the form properly.

 

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

April 18, 2018

Sign in: 5:30pm, Event start: 6:00pm

800m weighted run, 20 thrusters, 20 burpees, 20 kettlebell swings, sprint to finish

This event will be held at Momentum Field. Participants will start by running 800m while carrying two kettlebells. Males will use 15lb kettlebells while females will use 10lb kettlebells. Once they reach 800m, they will immediately go intoa 20x20x20 workout consisting of thrusters, burpees, and kettlebell swings respectively. Males will use a 45lbbar for thrusters and females will use a 25lb bar. After the 20x20x20 workout, they will sprint (roughly 80yds) to the finish line. Each participant will be paired with a judge, and the competitors will the shortest times will win the event.

 

TRIATHLON

April 25, 2018

Sign in: 5:30pm, Event start: 6:00pm

200m swim, 3 mile bike ride, 1 mile run

This event will reflect a triathlon sprint and will utilize the pool and hike and bike trail. Participants will be paired with a judge who will time them as they transition throughout the events. The event will begin with a 200-meter swim. After the swim, participants will proceed to their bicycle for the 3-mile bike ride. Following the bike ride, racers will make their way to the hike and bike trial where they will finish the triathlon with a 1-mile run. Participants are encouraged to rest when needed and to go at their own pace throughout the event but the timer will not stop until the 1-mile run is complete. The winners will be the participants with the shortest times
