We wish everyone good luck moving forward to their respective Regional Championship’s and hopefully the National Championships! We look forward to the 16th annual Island Bowl next year! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ We are pleased to announced that our 15th annual Island Bowl will take place the weekend of October 23-25th. This Flag Football Tournament has been a tradition here at the Island University since 1994 and we are excited about another weekend full of action packed flag football play. Last year was a thrilling tournament that included teams from UT-Brownsville, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT-Pan American, Hardin-Simmons University, Texas A&M International, Angelo State University, Del Mar College, Texas A&M Corpus-Christi, and Texas Southern University. We have decided to offer all three divisions this year (Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Rec) to make it the biggest Island Bowl event ever. Pool play will begin Friday night October 23rd through the Saturday (Oct. 24th) morning session. Single elimination bracket play will begin during the Saturday afternoon session and wrap on Sunday October 25th. There will be all-tournament teams for each division and an MVP as well, who will receive a plaque. We will offer to each division winner a Championship trophy, a Island Bowl Championship T-Shirt, and a paid entry fee to their choice of a Flag Football Regional Tournament. Our Men’s division winner, Angelo State University’s Wolfpac represented us very well winning the Region Tournament hosted by Stephen F. Austin last year and they went on to the National Championships at the University of South Florida. Entry fees and due dates are included in the links below!!
