Camp Description

This summer, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Rec Sports is proud to offer another year of the Islander Recreational Camp for the youth of the TAMU-CC and Corpus Christi communities. The Islander Rec Camp program is a fun recreational, motivational and engaging adventure for children ages 5-12. Camp sessions are one week in length and structured like a normal day of school with campers moving through our facilities participating in different programs and swimming every day. The camps will emphasize some core values of our department: teamwork, communication, sportsmanship, and FUN! All activities have a noncompetitive nature and camp staff will work with campers to improve basic skills and to stay active. This is a non-sport specific camp and all activities are built around teamwork and having fun.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Islander Recreation Camp we will once again have select registration dates for parents and guardians on the children attending this years camp. Faculty, Staff and Students of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will have the first opportunity to register beginning March 7th at 8am. Beginning March 20th everyone including the community will have the opportunity to sign-up from March 20th to the Friday before each new week of camp. If you are interested in participating in this years 2016 Islander Recreational Camp please register as soon as possible as the camp filled last year in 3 short weeks.
