Pup Rally

Bringing Breast Cancer Awareness to the Island University

Pup Rally is a dog-walking fundraiser put on by the Recreation Sports Department of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. This fundraiser is open to all campus patrons, as well as to the community, in hopes of raising awareness of breast cancer. A $5 donation is suggested and encouraged at registration where all proceeds will be donated to First Friday, a local organization that partners with Christus Spohn Hospital to give free mammograms to women of South Texas in need.

Pup Rally will be a 5k walk/run that will start at the Hammerhead Parking Lot on campus (take the second entrance off of Ocean Drive and it will be the first parking lot to your left). The event will be on Friday, October 25th, with registration starting at 5 pm and the race starting at 6 pm. Monetary donations are encouraged: with a $5 donation, you can receive a Pup Rally T-shirt and your pup can receive a bandana! Music, a silent auction, and a costume contest for pets and owners will also be available.

Don't have a dog? Don't worry! Bring some friends and come spend the evening with us for a good cause!

If you do plan on bringing a dog, the only thing we ask is that they are well behaved and are on a leash or harness at all times.
